Tidy Ledger is a small independent publication for people who run a business on their own: freelancers, service providers and makers who need to send invoices, keep tidy records and be ready for tax time, without hiring a bookkeeper on day one.

What we publish

How guides are researched

We build each guide from primary sources: the software company's own pricing pages, plan pages and help-centre articles, and government sources such as irs.gov. Every guide lists its sources and the date the facts were checked. Prices and plans change often, so always confirm on the vendor's site before you buy.

We don't claim hands-on testing unless a guide says so explicitly, and we don't publish made-up reviews, testimonials or results. We use AI tools to help research and draft; facts are checked against the linked sources before publishing.
